The Transform Pathway
At Transformed Therapy New Zealand, healing is a journey
One that unfolds step by step, honouring your unique experiences and needs
Our signature Transform Pathway is a proven, holistic framework designed to guide you through that journey with compassion, clarity, and empowerment

Whether you’re in the early or later stages of eating disorder recovery or somewhere in between, the Transform Pathway provides a supportive roadmap for sustainable transformation
What is the Transform Pathway?
The Transform Pathway is a 5-stage approach that supports your healing on multiple levels: Emotional, physical, mental, relational, and spiritual.
It is rooted in trauma informed care, cultural responsiveness, and evidence based methods, but most importantly, it adapts to fit your unique pace in recovery.

Stage 1: Tending the Ground
Laying the foundation for lasting recovery

Before healing begins, we focus on creating a safe, supportive space.
You’ll start to stabilise your eating patterns, develop trust in the recovery process, and start building the tools to manage distress.
This stage sets the groundwork so recovery can grow with confidence and stability.
Stage 2: Reconnection
Nourishing your body and rebuilding trust with food
In this stage, we work on normalising eating, introducing fear foods, and reconnecting with your body’s signals.
You’ll gradually reduce eating disorder behaviours and learn to eat with flexibility and trust, setting the stage for deeper emotional work.

Stage 3: Awareness and Alignment
Understanding the roots of your eating disorder and making a path forward
Now that your body is stabilised, we explore the beliefs, experiences, and emotions that drive eating disorder behaviours.
You’ll gain insight into patterns and build self compassion.
You will also start rebuilding your sense of self and start learning how to align your choices with your values and goals for long term recovery.
Stage 4: Nurturing Support
Building connection, boundaries, and support
Recovery is not done alone.
Here, you’ll strengthen relationships, learn how to set healthy boundaries, and develop a support network that helps you navigate life confidently.
This stage is about feeling supported while standing firmly in your own needs and identity.

Stage 5: Self-Led Growth
Stepping into your next chapter with confidence
This final stage is about sustaining your recovery and trusting yourself to navigate challenges independently.
You’ll consolidate strategies to prevent relapse, expand your identity beyond the eating disorder, and step into life with resilience, self trust, and purpose.
