Getting Funded
For those in New Zealand who are under the care of ACC for a sensitive claim and their eating difficulties are a result of a sensitive claim, then there may be an option to have your time with us funded
We are registered as an ACC vendor and currently, we are working with clients who are under the care of ACC and are having their treatment with us funded
To Have Sessions Funded With Us:
- Your primary care clinician/who you see for treatment of your sensitive claim (ACC funded psychologist/counsellor ect) must endorse and see the benefit in you working with an eating disorder recovery coach
- Your primary clinician will then send that endorsement to your case manager at ACC and they will put in the necessary paperwork for it to hopefully be approved
**There is no guarantee that ACC will fund the sessions as it is assessed on a case by case basis given that recovery coaching is a very new field and something that is not widely known about in New Zealand, but so far, those clients who have asked for it have got it**
