Eating Disorder Recovery Coaching
Recovery isn't just what happens in the room. It's what happens Tuesday at 3pm when the thoughts show up.
Practical, real world support from people who've fully recovered themselves - for the moments between sessions, not just during them.
Recovery coaching gives you structure, accountability, and someone in your corner for the everyday moments therapy alone doesn't reach - meal times, social events, tough days, and everything in between.
Work with a coach on its own, or alongside individual therapy for extra support.

Coaching Might Be For You If...
-
You want more support than a weekly session gives you — someone to check in with between appointments
-
You're doing well in therapy but want extra accountability for real-world moments: meals, social events, tricky days
-
You're not currently in therapy but want practical, structured support to keep moving forward
-
You've done the deeper psychological work and now need help translating it into daily life
-
You want someone who's actually been through it — not just studied it
If any of that sounds like want you are needing, keep reading — or skip ahead and book your free call now.
Not Sure If You Need Therapy, Coaching or Both?
Individual Therapy, with Sophie: The psychological "why" - working through trauma, depression, anxiety, patterns, identity, and more with a Registered Counsellor. This is right for you if you want to understand what's driving your eating disorder or do deeper emotional work.
Recovery Coaching, with Daisy, Lena or Sophie: The practical "how." Coaching isn't therapy - it's focused on your goals, with accountability and support for real-world moments like meals and tough days, through sessions plus support in between. Recovery coaching is right for you if you want structure and someone in your corner day-to-day, or you've done the deeper work and now need help living it out.
Using both together: Many clients combine the two; others start with just one. There's no wrong door - the free call will help you figure out what fits.
What Coaching Actually Looks Like
Step 1 - Free discovery call (30 minutes): We'll talk through what's going on, what kind of support would help most, and whether coaching, therapy, or a combination is the right starting point.
Step 2 - Scheduled sessions: Regular 1:1 online sessions with your coach, focused on your goals, patterns, and what's coming up for you.
Step 3 - Between-session support: Because recovery doesn't stick to a weekly schedule, coaching includes support between sessions too - check-ins, messages, and help navigating real-world moments as they happen, not a week later.
Everything is delivered online, so you can access support wherever you are in New Zealand or worldwide

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from therapy?
Therapy with Sophie focuses on the deeper psychological work - trauma, patterns, identity. Coaching focuses on the practical, day-to-day side of recovery - structure, accountability, and support for real world moments like meals and social situations. Many clients do both.
Do I need to be in therapy to start coaching?
No. Coaching works well on its own, or alongside therapy - whichever fits where you're at.
Do I have to be based near you?
No - everything is delivered online, so you can access support from anywhere in New Zealand or worldwide.
What does "between-session support" actually mean?
It means you're not on your own between appointments. Your coach will talk you through exactly what that looks like on your free call, based on what would actually help you.
What if I'm not sure whether I need coaching or therapy?
That's exactly what the free 30 minute call is for - no pressure, no obligation, just a conversation to figure out the right fit.
Ready To Take The Next Step?
You don't have to have this figured out before you reach out. That's what the call is for.
30 minutes - No obligation.
